The major objectives of this project are:
• To develop remote monitoring and control domestic energy meter. This system enables the energy provider to read the meter reading regularly without visiting customers’ house.
• To recharge the meter before consumption like prepayment or “prepaid”
• To develop a system that has facility of disconnects the power supply to the house in a case of non-payment of electricity bills.
• To develop a system that has facility to power re-connects due to deposit the outstanding previous bill amount.
• To develop a system that has facility to gives the information of total load used in a house on request at any time.
• To develop a system that has facility to send a SMS alert to energy provider if any unauthorized person trying to access to system.
• From the energy provider point of view, the supply automatically disconnects after the balance is zero.
• From the Customer point of view, this system enables the consumer to recharge the energy meter using a mobile phone.
• This system enables the feature of power cut information to the energy provider company.
